Chassiron
Access to the spot ?
Go to Saint Denis, then follow the sign Phare de Chassiron, there is a car park overlooking the sea.
there is a little path that goes down the cliff you have to walk about 15 min on rock ledges, leave your shoes before goin out on the rocks, surf only at mid tide to low tide.
How does the beach look
like ?
It'a reef break, probably the best wave in the area but also the most dangerous.
How are the waves ? (direction, type and quality of the waves only)
Best waves with SW-NW swell direction, and S-SE winds.Be careful it's not recommended you go surfing there by yourself unless you know the spot.Strong rips, the best wave on the island and probably the best inn the area, wave holds up to 12 feet and start working at 2 feet.
How is everything else ?
Good atmosphere, locals, if you follow the road to les Huttes you will find other reefs. The best wave, though, is in front of the Phare.
