Great news for Wikiriders, Google Map has just released for all Europe, the “normal” mode map. Now we can check for all Europe, every roads, towns…which are close to a spot.

Satellite view was still cool, but now the switch between both modes bring a new dimension to the localisation of a spot. And it open a lot of opportunities for new features on Wikiriders, maybe like itinary and many other things.

In the early of the 20th century, surf had already reached Britain coasts. So the history of surfing in this country is with no doubt of the most interessant in the world.

Surfs Up is a great new site which has appeared to relate a lot of fact about the spread of surfing in UK. Celebrating the life of surfing across the great channel.

From the 17th of July to 10th of August, Rip Curl organize the Rip Curl Venus Tour. Initiation, demo and more free activities will take place in 8 spots of the atlantic coast.

This event will also be the occasion to see in action some of the best women surfer like Stephanie Gilmor or the french revelation Marie Dejean.

We are now really close to the end of the developpment. If some little bugs still occure, Wikiriders works. It is now possible to add a new spot or a new information in few minutes.

We also have updated the link list with all the sites of first supporters of Wikiriders. Every of them are really cool.
And today we are thinking to a new header, here is one of our draft, not a final version. So all yours comments are welcome.

Rip Curl and ASP has just announced that the 2006 Mens Search WCT tour would head to Mexico. More info here.

The development of Wikiriders is still going on and we are entering in the debugging stage. Looking if everything is well fonctionning, optimizing the navigation.

As you can see, the design of the map has been changed to be more attractive. If you have any feed backs about the site, please, let us all your comments.

The last main feature of Wikirider is now available. It is currently possible to add new spot in the wiki.

For testing, I’ve added a spot in Belle île (South Britany) called Donnant. This is a very beautiful place and a good place for surfing. If you have some picture or some more additional info do not hesite to add on its dedicated page.

Hi ! All the features of the home page have been installed. The list of the contributors is ready for use, as RSS feeds and the PING function. On the pages of spot, the modification of descriptions, the addition and the consultation of news travel or surfing are now available. Everything is going to be released.
